Avoiding Deer Can Get Tricky in the Fall

As the fall weather creeps in, local deer populations become more active than during the summer months. They are foraging, mating, and preparing for winter as well as trying to avoid hunters’ bullet.

The time period between October and the end of the year is the time when deer are the most active and the potential for tragedy is the highest. November is an especially active period for them. It is important to always watch carefully for deer, especially around dusk. Also, avoid driving too fast so if you do see a deer, you have time to slow down and avoid it.
